Jacob has handled thousands of legal matters throughout Florida. However, the bulk of his cases are litigated in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties. Jacob is a member of the Florida Bar, Federal Court in Florida (Southern, Middle and Northern Districts), the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He also routinely argues matters before the 4th District Court of Appeal.
Jacob grew up in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Woodrow Wilson Sr. High School. He then attended Guilford College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in History. Jacob received his legal education from Stetson College of Law where he earned his juris doctorate. While a law student, Jacob interned at the Office of the Public Defender in Hillsborough County.
After graduating law school in 2003, Jacob accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County. While an Assistant Public Defender, Jacob successfully tried numerous cases before a jury. In 2007, Jacob left the Public Defender's Office to work as a private criminal defense attorney.
